My mother a diabetic from past 20 plus years suffering this problem very first time. from past 15 days it Started as pain in left side chest and back, later developed red coloured pimple like structures under chest continuous till back resulting heavy pain in those area. Consulted local doctor, he suggested antibiotics and pain killer, she took for 1 week, the pimple like wounds gone but pain is not at all reducing in the affected area. Pain killers helps for few hours but pain repeatedly comes back. Kindly suggest what kind of disease it is and whome we have to contact. Some says it is Herpis or shingles. Shingles is triggered by the varicella-zoster virus (also known as VZV)  the same virus that is responsible for chickenpox. Even after chickenpox has got treated, the virus sometimes does not leave the body, lying inert in tissues in the region of the spinal cord and brain. It can then go on to cause shingles  a disease with very different symptoms usually several years after the initial infection. homeopathic medicines are derived from natural substances, they are safe along with being successful and being free from side-effects. Your mother is suffering from  post herpetic neuralgia. Response to treatment is highly variable. Drugs used are amitriptyline and neurobion forte in such scenarios and analgesics occasionally. Responses need to be evaluated to decide whether to continue with these medications. If response is inadequate, consult a neurologist.
