Sharp stabbing pain on chest

Asked for Female, 16 Years

I have been having stabbing sharp chest pain on both sides of chest,on back and 2 inches under underarms,very often in my right hand.3 months ago blood came out with cough and it continued for 5-6days. my chest x-ray report is normal.

Hello, your complain of cough with blood in sputum mostly points to lung infection like tuberculosis, pneumonia, bronchitis etc. There may be many other possible causes. If you are having complain of fever, weight loss, loss of appetite & cough with sputum for more than 3 weeks then tuberculosis is more likely.

Next Steps

Please do sputum examination tests( SPUTUM FOR ROUTINE, MICROSCOPY/ AFB/CULTURE & SENSITIVITY) , complete blood count(CBC) & consult a CHEST PHYSICIAN at the earliest.
