SHARP ITCH OR PAIN IN MY THROAT

It's been like 2 days since i suddenly started to experience a sharp itch on the right side of my throat which i can feel even if i press my neck from the outside... I'm having problem in swallowing food and even while drinking water ...can please someone tell me what it can be?

May be you are suffering from Eagle's syndrome. Eagle's syndrome is a condition associated with the elongation of the styloid process or calcification of the stylohyoid ligament, clinically characterised by throat and neck pain, even the pain may radiate into the ear. Or It can be infection, inflammation of throat.
