Sex environment
Hi, our baby is 1 year old and sleeps in our room. We have been wondering if having sex while she is in the room has any effects on the baby mentally.

Hey, Your concern is relevant. Sex is a basic need & there is nothing wrong about having it however would you feel free to have it in front of any other person..?? If you said no, take it for fact that your 1 year old child is another person. She has been vigilantly watching each of your emotion and action and absorbing it. If your child accidentally happens to watch you both during process, it would have a deep impact on her mind. If there is no other means to maintain privacy during intercourse take every possible precaution to ensure that your child doesn't witness anything which frightens her or triggers curiosity till she reaches certain age. Further she would need basic information regarding her private parts, relevant for her age to avoid any sort of child abuse by anyone else.
