Sex-chat and masturbation addiction
Hello Doc, Since last four-five years I have this addiction of sex chatting. I go to internet try to find random girls and sex chat a lot. The goal of this sex chat is to arouse myself and masturbate. This has been hurting me mentally and emotionally. I always don't feel good about it. It started with my girlfriend. We used to sex talk a lot but then breakup happened and I started doing with random people. But I never feel contented. Because of this I spend too much time on screen that hurt my eyes or head but even then I can not control it.It has made me lazy. I wanna do exercise and to active things but I always get into it. Please suggest how to stop doing it. I know its fun but how to balance it? I am virgin and I always feel like instead of doing this virtual sexchat I should have sex in real. What is the best way forward. I really wanna focus on my career but It doesn't interest me and I masturbate alot. Kindly elaborately help me🙏

Generally, an Internet Sex Addict can spend a significant amount of time in chat rooms and instant messaging with the intent of getting sex. The individual can also be preoccupied with thoughts of being online to find sexual partners, being able to find likeminded individuals to discuss sexual fantasies, masturbating whilst engaging in online chats and is preoccupied with and obsesses about the next opportunity to engage in online sex. Addicts generally will hide their online behavior and chat sessions from others and obsessively seek out internet porn sites. Internet Sex Addicts can experience feelings of guilt, shame, a decreasing interest in their primary partner (if in a relationship), low self esteem, distorted body image and even have a lifelong or secondary untreated sexual dysfunction.
