Severe spinning sensation, dizziness
My father is having continuous dizziness, giddy feeling. This started about 5 days back and has been continuing on and off. He was unable to sleep properly for 2 days. Again from this afternoon, he is having continuous spinning sensations especially after he woke up from his afternoon sleep. He is feeling very uneasy and not able to sit, walk, talk comfortably. He is having a heavy feeling in his head and also some sort of sound in both his ears. Please advise on this as to what this could be because of.

Sudden onset of severe giddiness which is lasting for few days continuously needs to be evaluated in detail to rule out any sinister causes especially after the age of 60 years. He may need to undergo detailed clinical examination and CT or MRI depending on necessity
