Severe diarrhoea
I have been taking metformin prolonged release tabs,500 mg twice daily since two weeks after meals and suffering from diarrhoea for the last 3 days with blood in stool . Its affecting my work . Kindly suggest.

Your condition is not caused by metformin. Probably you are suffering from amoebic dysentery which will need medications.
