My grandpa is suffering from severe cough and he is not able to release the cough as it is very thick and facing difficulty in breathing. Please suggest me some expectorant for his age with low dosage of sedative.

Simply giving a expectorant will not be helpful. Need to examine his chest if any wheeze is there he has to get nebulisations and IV medications
