Asked for Female, 29 Years

I had a bad cough and was asked to take azithromycin but after that I developed severe throat infection and was asked to take vitamin c and augmentin. I still have a bad cough and I would like to know if augmentin will treat the cough as well. I took 5 tablets of azithromycin and my dosage ended yesterday.

Augmentin and azithromycin are antibiotics which will help to clear infection....Drink plenty of water,eat soft foods like cooked cereal, mashed potatoes, soft fruits, yogurt and soft-cooked eggs...give adequate rest to your body..Avoid spicy foods or acidic foods. Gargle with warm salt water...Consult your doctor for fallow up they will do the needful.
