Severe cough during night
Sir,
My mother had a severe cough during nights and some times in day time too. She had used the antibiotic tablets for 3 days. But still the cough continued since over week. Please advice.

Hello there....., I went through your query....
Coughing is a symptom, not a disease. It is the underlying cause of the cough that needs to be treated.... Infections in the breathing tubes can be caused by both bacteria and viruses, although the most common cause in children is a virus. Bacterial infections can be treated with antibiotics, but viral infections cannot.....Consult Physician for further evaluation.....
