Severe abdominal pain after chemo
Aged 64 yrs diagnosed with stage 4 sigmoid colon cancer.have undergone 2 cycles of chemo with oxalplatin+capacitibine.3 Rd chemo added bevacizumab to oxalplatin and capacitibine. Severe abdominal and hip pain daily twice to thrive and no relief with ultracet tablets.it will long for 3 to 4 hrs and will go.Also nausea and vomitings and not able to take food as either pain or vomitings the whole day.can emeset and pantin injections can be taken once daily to get some relief. Please suggest as patient is not eating anything.please help to relieve this pain

Your symptoms are suggestive of mucositis commonly seen with chemotherapy
Next Steps
you can use pantoprazole inj or tablet  +sucralfate syrup 15 ml thrice a day. emeset is also helpful to  alleviate vomitings. all these need to be continued for few days for optimal recovery. also get an advice from your doctor regarding any need to stop/reduce capecitabine.
