Sever hair loss with Thyronorm

Asked for Male, 30 Years

Hi doc , I have started Thyronorm 50mcg for my hypothyroidism since a week . I see a lot of hair being shed when i shower and it's remarkable . Wanted to understand if I'm allergic to it and is it a common side effect at a low dosage .

In hypothyrodisum it known to have hair loss. As u have just started the treatment can wait for 4 weeks to improve in hair fall. Usually thyroid medicines are not allergic so no need to worry about it and there are no side effects. Consult dermatologist for hair fall.
