Hello. The way depression builds up slowly, it also takes some time to respond to treatment. Usually 3-6 weeks are needed to perceive improvement. If by this time you don't, your Psychiatrist would either increase the dose of sertraline or change to another antidepressant.
Provanol is given to cover anxiety symptoms if you have some. Good luck.

Hi,
Antidepressant takes 2-4 weeks to show response and need to continue for at least 3-6 months for full recovery.
If I show no response in 6 wks then different antidepressant should be tired.

Hi,
I understand that you are continuing to have symptoms.
If your clinical diagnosis is depression Sertraline 50 mg can be gradually to an adequate dose and for an adequate duration.
Also, propranolol is usually not given in the first place if depression is the only diagnosis.
Next Steps
Please consult a psychiatrist to help you with your symptoms and medications.
