Sensory polyneuropathy

Asked for Male, 30 Years

I am diabetic from 2 yrs under very strict control along with exercises . Hb1Ac( 5). I had Low B12 ( 250) a year back with sensory symptoms . So took neuroboin forte for 3 months but no use symptoms become worse to burning pain and symptoms upto knee and arms.. Neurologist advised NUHENZ for 3 months Now B12 is ( 468) . Now my NCV test showed ' Bilateral SURAL and PERONEAL Nerves SNAP is absent' . Now prescribed ' HOMIN D' Will it improve and recover and what care do I need ? Pls help and respond

Commonest cause of Polyneuropathies are diabetes and vit b12 deficiency. The microvascular changes which have already occured due to diabetes will have its effect on the neveres even though the sugars are under control now. the medications are for symptomatic relief. if there is symptomatic relief, then u need to continue on medications for a longer time. You can repeat a NCV after 3 months.
