  4. Sciatic nerve. There that does this?

Started having pain in left buttock, then noticed it hurt from hip joint to close to rectum. Now I have a knot in that area. It feels like a pulled muscle . It is painful to sit. Is there a muscle there that does this?

It's a spasm in muscle secondary to nerve inflammation. Need to clinically examine, typically rest followed by exc helps
