My friend 's husband is diagnosed with schizoprenia. He is not taking any medicine at present and he stopped medicine before 3 months without doctors concern.now when my friend took him to doctor by force,he refused to take medicine. And doctor advice either to seperate or divorse. But at present no symptom is shown by him.he works ,maintain hygiene and quiet normal life.but why doctor want them to live seperatedly

I really don't know.
Yet, if he is not taking medicines, it would be better to meet a psychologist.
Sometimes, counselling could be useful to understand himself better.
