Schizophrenia
I am on high dose of medicine solian 400 mg twice a day and pacitane 2mg from past 6 months.my doubt is can I still have schizophrenia symptoms? Schizophrenia was recognized 3 years before.now no serious issues .but being on medicine can schizophrenia develop once again?

Yes, Schizophrenia is a remitting and relapsing disease. You should continue the medicine. And Solian 800mg is an adequate dose. But may be decreased by 100 or 200 mg if you condition is stable for long

Schizophrenia is a lifetime illness, it can be controlled with medication but it is unpredictable if Schizophrenic symptoms reoccur during the treatment / after stopping treatment. There are very high chances of relapse of Schizophrenia in future. It depends on many factors. Discuss all factors with your treating psychiatrist who is in better condition to answer you as he knows about your illness better. All the best
