Scan & Pregnancy issue

Question

Asked for Male, 30 Years

My last periods was on Aug 25. It were irreg&late too. On 11th oct we consulted ONG for infertility& did a scan too for it so took tablets to get periods. Still I dint get my periods, so 25th Oct we did a home test and it is showing +ve result. 1.Will the tablets affect foetus? 2.Why the scan didn't show the pregnancy?

Hi I think it was an early pregnancy when you consulted your gynaecologist during oct 10th. It can be usually diagnosed after 5weeks from your first period date.so it was not detected during your visit and she would have prescribed medicine to regularise your periods. It usually doesnt cause any problems for your pregnancy and baby.but it may be bettr to discuss this with the same doctor who prescribed you the medicine as she knows what it is. Best if luck
