I am planning to have denture for my mother. Looking at x ray, dentist recommended to have 4 teeth extractions, and to clear gum infections before denture procedure. Basically she has gone through invasive cleaning and has to go through Scaling and root planning in coming weeks. Is this really required before denture and How much would it cost.

Scaling is usually a routine, root planning helps if there are deep seated deposits. On a long-term this will help in giving good stability for her dentures.
Next Steps
flexible dentures are an option to be considered.
Health Tips
