Sanitary napkins and ointmnet apply????
My gynaec said I have developed a vaginal abscess(inner lip) So she advised me for tablets and wash and Povidine iodine (betadine ointment)to apply bd per day.. But now i got my monthly cycle.. So can i still continue applying the ointmnet.. Or should i stop till i complete my cycle?? Also can i use sanitary napkins or will this increase or affect my abscess?? If i shouldnt then what can i use in its place????? Please help Waiting for reply.. Please Thankyou in advance doctor

It will be difficult to apply local ointment during periods. I suggest you should continue with your antibiotics tablets and local hygiene. You can start using Betadine ointment again after the period (if it is still required).

Kindly continue application of ointment and can also use sanitary napkin ...as chances of secondary infection can be there...so better to continue medications👍
