It depends on the size of the stone. If 5mm we can remove it by endoscopy alone without removing the gland. At our center even if it is more than 5 mm we use Holmium laser to breakdown the stone and remove the stone and we save the gland.
It is called Sialendoscopy . We do it at our centre.
