There won't be much of side effects with Geriforte tablets, because its basically a combination of Chyavanparash and Ashwagandha. What they do is just try and  boost your immunity. It might not be that helpful when you are having an established infection, so I would advice you to also take T.Cetrizine 10mg daily in the night, do salt water gargling in the morning and night and have a steam inhalation twice a day. If symptoms persist beyond a week, then visit a local clinic for further evaluation and treatment
