Risk of mucormycosis
My mom who was tested covid positive had  only mild symptoms (fever, cough, myalgia). Her IL-6 was 29.95 and d-dimer was 1.02.She was started on steroids (I don't know why they started it)and dosage was IV 40mg methyl prednisolone x 2 days, then 32mg,16mg,8mg, 4mg each for 2 days. She is hypertensive and not a diabetic. Her fbs is 110mg /dl and ppbs is 188mg/dl.Im very concerned whether she has a risk for developing mucormycosis?

Your mother had mild symptoms But her IL 6 and d dimer was very high. Hence she was at risk of cytokine storm/ acute respiratory distress And hence she was started on steroids. Steroids prevented her condition from becoming severe. Her fasting and ppbs are pre-diabetic range due to steroid use. You should recheck 15 days after steroids have been stopped completely.
Next Steps
since she was given steroids, there is a  risk of mucor. but she does not have: uncontrolled diabetes. long oxygen requirement. unsterile mask use. hence her risk is very low.
Health Tips
watch for symptoms of mucor : eye pain/ swelling of face /red eyes for next 15 days monitor saturation thrice a day. she does not need any evaluation at present. improve nutrition and follow covid hygiene.
