Risk of cancer from mobile phone use
Hi Doctor,
I have a question about the mobile phone user and cancer. Is it true that use or excessive use of mobile phone could cause or increase the risk of certain type of cancer in human ?
I have a friend who use his phone all most every time(he always use his mobile except the time he sleeps) for texting and playing games but he don't used to speak for long time in his mobile. Maximum 2-3 hours a day.
Could you please let me know if he has increased risk of cancer ?

Usage of mobile phones at the moment may cause risk of brain tumours. However this theory has not been proven yet and it has been identified as risk factor of category 2b.
However we do advise to keep the mobile as far away as possible and use only when necessary
