Risk for mucormycosis. Not a diabetic.

My mother who is diagnosed covid positive has been having only mild symptoms(fever x 4 days,myalgia x 4 days) and maintains spo2 of 99% RA .Her IL-6 levels are 29.30 and d-dimer is 1.02.She was started on steroids IV methyl Prednisolone 40mg IV OD for x 3 days and then planned to taper to 32 mg x 3 days and 16mg ,8mg,4mg (each for 3 days) and to stop.She just received her first dose of 32mg Tablet.methyl Prednisolone today  after and I am concerned whether this might lead to mucormycosis after recovery.Is there any risk of getting mucormycosis with the above dosage of steroids and if there is Can I stop the steroid injection at it's 2nd dose without going into addisonian crisis as I am an intern working there.She is a known case of SHT and not a diabetic.
