I have had a cold for a few days which hasn't been anything too bad but today I have woken up with loud ringing in my ears, particularly my left. Is the ringing and cold connected or sperate issues? What should I do to get rid of the ringing?

Ringing in the ears at the time of cold could be due to infection in the middle ear which could enter through the eustechian tube which connects the ear mouth and nose. It could be temporary till the infection is in the middle ear. It's advised to consult an ENT surgeon to confirm if there is any infection in the middle ear then start medication immediately
Hope this helps
