Right side Paralysis
My father suffered an acute infarct with haemorrhagic transformation in left basal ganglion and fronto-parietal lobe region on Feb 22 resulting in right side hemiparesis with aphasia. Also detected few old lacunar infarcts in right gangliothalamic region. He suffers from Hypertension. Before the stroke, he was a very active person. With physiotherapy, there is very slight improvement in speech but it is extremely slow. No improvement in speech whatsoever. Is there any alternative treatment to speed up the recovery process and to ensure there is full recovery (both of movement and speech)? Also, should speech therapy be started along with physiotherapy? Would be thankful for any and all advices.

Dear client with my experience speech should be handled specificaly by a speach therapist. About strength and muscular coodination and improvement of functions solely depends on your physios proficiency usualy there are good chances of recovery plz speak to know wether concerned physio is having some specialised experience into subject like masters in Neuro or bachelors with certification in NDT or Bobath like courses..

Sir . In my opinion there is no alternative therapy other than physiotherapy and speech therapy. God is the natural healer. Be patient and wait for his recovery.
