Hi doc , I'm 19 and quite interested in skincare as I'll be turning 20 soon , should I start retinol or retinoid. My skin is pretty clear with a little uneven skin tone.

Both belong to same category dear. And you don't need any of those ! You are too young for that. Follow a simple skin hygiene care with lots of sunscreen, moisturizer and an exfoliating and depigmenting agent based serums.
