There are various strategies for using two medicines. What you are using is  COMBINATION. Optimisation, switch and Augmentation strategies should be tried before combination ideally. I need to know about you symptoms, duration of illness and current status before commenting much.

Hi sir, more details are required regarding your symptoms and response to medicines/prior history of side effects. It seems the doctor might be slowly reducing paxidep and building up the new medication. If done properly, it shouldn't have abrupt side effects. However, do consult a professional if you have issues

VORTIOXETINE belongs to a group of medicines called antidepressants. It is used to treat major depressive episodes in adults. It has been shown to reduce the broad range of depressive symptoms, including sadness, inner tension (feeling anxious), sleep disturbances (reduced sleep), reduced appetite, difficulty concentrating, feelings of worthlessness, and loss of interest in favourite activities, feeling of being slowed down. Depression is a mood disorder that affects a person's daily life and is described as feelings of sadness, loss, or anger. These symptoms may interfere with your daily activities and affect your quality of life. VORTIOXETINE contains vortioxetine. It works by increasing serotonin levels, chemicals present in the brain responsible for energy, mood, and behaviour. Hence, an increase in these levels can effectively reduce the symptoms of depression.
