Reluctant in counseling
My mother is unwell for a long long time, her problems are causing problems in every members of our family but she doesn't want to go for a counseling, she in unaware of her problems. She thinks only paitents in mental hospitals  need a doctor. How to convince her? Please please help

For reluctant people, you can always speak to a psychologist and try working the other way around. As in how can you respond to them and how you can involve them in therapy as a supportive person instead. It is very common that elderly people think that counseling is only for mentally illness and not for anything else. Once the person is receptive towards therapist's suggestions then the intervention can move in the required direction.
