I have had multiple unprotected MSM only oral exposures , and I was diagnosed with Secondary Syphilis last year, I took treatment ( 2 penicillin ) , after vdrl was negative, I discontinued , then this year in Jan and Feb I had a few MSM (oral only ) exposures , I was again detected with Syphilis , I am not sure if the relapse of Syphilis due to previous or a new infection but took one more penicillin G , I took some more blood tests in which my ACE ( Angiotensin Converting Enzyme ) was 49 U/L , can this high ACE be due to HIV ? I am really scared to get tested for HIV at this time , I last got tested in October 2023 , can you please help diagnose the situation if ACE levels and syphilis reinfection is a risk for HIV ?
