Regular Cough and cold
Hello sir/madam, I have a 4year old kid. She regularly suffers from wet cough and cold. Every day she is on medication for the same. I am scared of her health as she is been given medicine daily from past 5month for the same. Once in a month we also do the nebulisation process so that phlegm in her throat reduces. Please suggest a way to get rid of this phlegm from her throat. Is there anything that we can give her to improve her immunity.please suggest a way. Thank you.

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a  viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
