Can we do self medication to minimise the alcohol intake Bua taking NALTREXONE? Will it work for who take on daily basis one quarter of whisky?

Naltrexone is not over the counter medicine and you cannot buy or take it as per law. You need to consult a psychiatrist and get proper evaluation before it could be prescribed. Good luck

nalterxone is used as an anticraving agent for alcohol use, but besides nalterxone he will be needing other supportive medication to help him with the withdrawal, so my recommendation is to reach out to your psychiatrist and. seek his guidance to start the medicines. Not recommended to self medicate
