Can any one tell me if what can be done if gluocma is found at its early stage..
What are the treatment available to cure it at early stage only... Do we need to take medicine life long even if detected at early stage.

Glaucoma is a disease in which loss once occurred can't be regained by any treatment.
If it is in early stage ,means almost no loss has occurred. Hence at this stage two things are important
1st. Regular check up say at least 2to3 times a year or as advised by your doctor.
2nd. Regular use of medicine as per advice of your doctor. And if medicine get ineffective then get the surgery done as early as possible.
There are 3 options available
1...medicine
2...laser alone or laser +medicine
3...surgery alone or surgery +medicine

A. Treatment depends on type of glaucoma...open angle or closed angle
B. Even if glaucoma is detected at an early stage , medicine is required for whole life
