Regarding hypertension
My dad's hypertension was in the range of 195/115 +- 10..I think he had it for long time..after my compulsion he visited doctor in HAL hospital & was prescribed atenolol 50mg..and now his levels are around 140/90 +-5..pulse is normal..sugar levels are normal..he has consumed 12tablets till date. Can he take atenolol 50 mg for the rest of his life? I m worried bcoz he is not willing to visit doctor again.. What has to be done..?? Please help me!!

Definitely he has to continue atenolol lifelong without any doubt abt it.Get an bp checked once in a while.If he hesitates to come to hospital u can get a electronic bp apparatus and check for urself.
