Hi, Please advise regarding high uric acid and high cholesterol for my mother. The uric acid is 8.6 and chlosetrol is 255.Sugar is normal. It is for my mother .her age is 60. Regards, Hemant

Uric acid of 8.6 doesn’t need treatment unless patient is having any kidney stones or has gouty arthritis. Cholesterol of 255 has to be dealt with diet and exercise only. So both things don’t warrant drug treatment at present.

Next Steps

Avoid high protein and fatty diet. Exercise regularly . Repeat after 3-6 months
