7.5y old boy has difficulty in copying from board to notebook as well as notebook to notebook. Very slow and makes lot of mistakes. Handwriting quite slow so he gets scolded by teacher often.
Recently got diagnosed with myopia - but that doesn't explain the difficulty when copying from notebook.

Hi
Thanks for reaching out. You are worried about your seven and a half year old son. Consult a psychologist and explain about your son’s learning skills. A psychologist would like to know how long has it been since your son is finding it difficult to copy from board to notebook and from notebook to notebook. Your son will require counselling sessions. If your son is stressed or anxious about certain things he can talk about it with a psychologist. A child or educational psychologist will be able to help your son.
Next Steps
Consult a psychologist

Hi,
It's worth investigating further to understand why your child is having difficulty copying accurately. Consider consulting with an optometrist to assess visual processing, fine motor skills, and attention. Collaborate with the teacher and consider seeking evaluation for learning differences. Early intervention and support can make a significant difference.
Next Steps
Consult Occupational therapist, Psychologist, Special Educator, and ophthalmologist
With his recent diagnosis of myopia, it could be challenging for him to see clearly at a distance, which could impact his ability to copy accurately from the board.
However, if you're concerned about his fine motor skills, handwriting speed, and overall learning, it might be helpful to consult with a child psychologist or an occupational therapist. They can assess his skills and provide guidance on strategies and exercises to improve his handwriting and copying abilities.
In the meantime, you can help reduce his stress and improve his focus by teaching him breathing exercises, like deep breathing or box breathing, which can help calm the mind and improve concentration.
