I have started giving cow's milk to my 17 months old daughter since the last 3 weeks, and since then she is passing white or cream stools, but they are not always white, sometimes they are normal colored. The stool reducing substances test is positive. What does this mean? And if she has lactose intolerance then will it be always there?
Can she have curd cheese etc and other milk products?it was just occasionaly white or cream stools which concerned me ti go for a test, otherwise she is gaining weight and is fit and active.
Can you please tell me the reason for positive test.

If weight gain is appropriate , it's Transient Cow Milk Allergy, which will resolve within 1-2weeks.For now you may restrict Cow milk intake , and repeat the test after 2 weeks
