Redness in the eyes
Hi- I am 27 YO working professional. I have been using contact lenses for over 8 years and wear contact lenses for at least 8 hours everyday. Lately, my eyes have started getting red majorily. As prescribed by my doc I have been using FML-T and Eyemist (3-4 times a days) but still the redness isint going and the eyes get watery as well. Pls help and suggest quick solutions. Thansk.

Hello This could be due to mild Inflammation and dryness due to chronic lens use Try A. Avoid contact lens for few days B.  Cold compresses C. Keep using medicines as prescribed Having said that it is provisional diagnosis Kindly share photos of your eye so that I may guide you better Regards

It would be important to review what kind of lenses are you wearing, and if they show any signs of wear and tear. If that is so instilling drops without changing the lenses might not be of help.

It may be due to two reasons 1 your contact lens is not cleaned properly. 2 long use lens like yearly : half yearly lens may have scratches. So you need to clean lens properly or change your contact lens set or shift to monthly disposable or daily disposable .. medications are temporary
