Reddish itchy patches on scalp of my bro

Asked for Female, 30 Years

My brother is having reddish itchy patches on scalp under hair and also under beard near the ears ..he's having it for last 1 year and homeopathy treatment is undergoing..but redness and itchiness is increasing.. coconut oil is also being applied ..should I go for homeopathy or allopathy ? Is there complete cure to it ? What's this actually ?
