Recurring boils back neck
Occasionally I get recurring boils on the back of my neck just where my hair line starts. They are extremely painful and I have been getting them for the past 3-4 yrs. I maintain good hygiene and wash my hair every alternate day with a mild shampoo My health otherwise good.

Thanks for the query. Based on your description it looks like a superficial bacterial infection usually caused by staphylococcus aureus. Sometimes they co-exist with fungal folliculitis. It could be acne keloidalis nuchae. Kindly consult a dermatologist for exact diagnosis and a precise treatment plan. Its also important to prevent their relapse once you have got it cured.
