RectL prolapse surgery
Hi, I had rectal prolapse surgery I took 6months off, 7months until I returned to the gym. I am a bodybuilder and I want to keep growing which requires strength training my Doctor said after 4months a was fine but be cautious but I researched online and it stated I should basically never lift heavy again, but I am a bodybuilder its my life style, I have decided to syop doing SBB exercise this year ? HELP please

Hello there, yes it's true you should not lift heavy weights anymore. Since your muscles have grown weaker and you can again face the same problem in the future. However I can suggest that if you were planning to exercise then you should wear very tight underwear and abdominal belts. Main aim should be to avoid excess abdominal pressure with me again result in rectal prolapse or hernia. So you can decrease the number of sets but increase the frequency.
