Reactive lymphadenitis means enlargement of lymph nodes secondary to infections in the surrounding areas. In case of neck they get enlarged secondary to throat or sinus infections. You may need to take antibiotics and painkillers for few days. Surgery is not usually done for reactive lymphadenitis
