Rat bite treatment
My maid was bitten by a rat while sleeping yesterday(7 hours past). Is there any treatment to prevent bacterial infection and further complications?

Wash wound with soap water and vaccinate her with tetanus and rabies..if there was any bleed. It also depends on where is the bite ?

Yes, she will require tetanus injection and also a short course of antibiotics. She will require proper cleaning of wound and an anti bacterial anti septic ointment to apply.
