Apart from stimulation there are alternative muscle re-education techniques ,kinesio taping can be done to facilitate the muscle. Hope he is wearing a dynamic cock - up splint,if not buy that immediately and start wearing it. Give him exercises in gravity elimination(tell this to your physiotherapist).
Next Steps
give him food rich in vit B 12( sprouted green grams, groundnut, spinach, papaya, almonds etc)
Health Tips
cut down on coffee, white sugar ,tea, junk food, etc. all the above can be tried to the maximum extent before surgery

If the condition is not improved after 3 months do SD curve or send the patient to NCV test. But keep continue Physiotherapy.

Hi. It happens with many that during surgery of any type the nerve gets damaged by the sutures or by plate placement that has to be taken care by surgeon during surgery but unfortunately they don't. But wait for 3 more months because nerve takes time to regenerate it is a slow process. Stimulation along with neuro dynamics technique will help. (Your physio must be knowing ) ask him/her about this technique. If within 6 months no improvement is there consult surgeon then.

Hello. Radial nerve damage is common complication after humeral surgical intervention. Continue Physiotherapy. Wait for 3 months because nerve regeneration takes this much time.
Next Steps
continue nerve stimulation and strengthening exercises
