Rabies vaccination failure rate
My brother was bitten by dog a month ago. 4 out of 5 Vaccination shots was taken. Will Vaccination fail ? How long the dog would survive if it had rabies at the time of bite?

The dog would succumb within 10 days. The first two doses of vaccination are of utmost importance. They can't be missed. The rest of them can be adjusted for, between a day or two. If you have missed last dose , you can always get it now if you don't have any issues. It is unlikely the vaccination will fail if you dont

Last vaccine can be taken if there a delay for a Day or Two. If its non rabid dog it won't die. If there is too much delay , Vaccines has to reschedule. If it's Grade 2 or 3 bite, it's advisable to take immunoglobulin along, with vaccine.

Rabied dog dies with in 10 days of bite ARV is efficacious if given as per schedule Cat 3 bite should be given I trader Mal and intralesion rabies immunoglobulin.
