There are very few cases of human to human transmission and those case only involved organ donation (Cornea)
Otherwise human to human transmission is not possible.. and blood is not the mode of transmission for Rabies virus..
Next Steps
Don't Panic.. Nothing needs to be done..
As you are an intern.. I would advise you to go through Parks text book of preventive medicine
it's clearly written that human to human transmission is rare and only mode is organ transplantation. you can also check this in Harrisons textbook
hope this helps

Health Tips
Don't panic. The vaccine is to be taken to be on the safer side. If your skin was intact(no breaches) when it came in contact with the patients blood, the chances of infection are less.(You just have to wash your hands thoroughly with soap in running water for atleast 15 mins in that case.)
Next time you see any patient please do examine with gloves.
