Hello doc, Can guinea pigs transmit rabies? And that too by a scratch? Should I take a booster shot just in case? My guinea pigs have been with me since January but I'm really worried as I was scratched by one of them 2 days ago. I am 90% sure they are not rabid but one can never be too sure about this deadly disease. Please advice what to do next

Lately rabies has been found to spread by bite/ scratch of canine mammals other than dogs too It is advisable to take rabies booster if the mammals is symptomatic or can’t be traced
