Question about GERD
My whole life I have had acid reflux, or GERD. Sometimes eating certain foods leads to diarrhea and/or nausea, but other times the attacks are constipation and terrible stomach pains, followed by diarrhea later. But I've been told constipation is no a symptom of GERD, is this true? Can constipation followed by nausea and diarrhea still be GERD?

Hello there. I can understand your concern. If you knew the full form of GERD, it would be clear that GERD AND Constipation are two different things. GERD stands for gastro esophageal reflux disease. Consult a general surgeon in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
