Can stool gram stain detect intestinal or colonic tuberculosis ? What is the use of stool gram stain ? When is it ordered by the doctor ? Are there any other test to check & confirm intestinal tuberculosis of the jejunum or ileum region ?

There are better methods for detecting intestinal tuberculosis like endoscopy and biopsy though ileum and jejunum may not be reached by normal endoscopes.
